CHEYENNE - The 2014 Wyoming Game and Fish Department (WGFD) wildlife calendar is now available. This year’s calendar features the images of noted Jackson photographer Mark Gocke, who alsoserves as information and education specialist for WGFD’s Jackson and Pinedale regions.
The calendar not only features prominent Cowboy State species from grizzly bears to cutthroat trout to sagegrouse, but also contains a biography of each of the 12 featured species. It may be ordered for $9.95 from the WGFD Gift Shop at 307-777-4570 or online at wgfd.wyo.gov.
In addition to Wyoming Wildlife, Gocke’s work has appeared in National Wildlife, Field and Stream, Sierra, Ranger Rick, Bugle, and Peterson’s Hunting Journal. Gocke’s photography has been repeatedly recognized for excellence by the Association for Conservation Information, an organization of natural resource agencies and conservation groups across North America.
The calendars also display application deadlines and the dates of other important WGFD events. Calendars are limited in number and are being sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
