CHEYENNE - The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is offering its game warden exam at nine locations across Wyoming in August.
To qualify for the exam, applicants must have earned a bachelor’s degree in a wildlife management or wildlife-related field or be on track to earn the degree by January 2013.
Interested individuals must submit the Request to Take 2012 Game Warden Exam and a copy of college transcripts prior to the registration deadline, which is generally four days prior to the test deadline.
Applicants who pass the written portion of the game warden examination process will compete for an opportunity to move on to the remaining portion of the testing, including an oral interview, polygraph test, psychological assessments, job suitability profile, and background check. Individuals who successfully complete the process will be placed on alist from which game wardens, senior game wardens, and regional access coordinators are selected.
From Aug. 4-28 the exam will be offered at Game and Fish offices in Casper, Cheyenne, Cody, Jackson, Green River, Lander, Laramie, Pinedale, and Sheridan.
