Q. Why did you reduce the whitefish limit from 25 to six fish?
A. Fisheries managers throughout much of the west, including Wyoming, believe that whitefish populations are declining. In recent years, biologists are not seeing nearly as many whitefish in their surveys as were once present. Managers will continue to monitor populations in coming years and make adjustments as necessary.
