CHEYENNE - Hunters interested in the Wyoming Game and Fish Department proposals for the 2012 big game and bird seasons are invited to attend any of the eight public meetings to be held throughout the state the last week of March.
During these information gathering meetings, the Game and Fish will be soliciting input on all big game species as well as wild bison seasons and general hunting regulations. In addition, comments are being taken on proposed turkey, uplandbird, early migratory bird seasons, small game, and the Light Goose Conservation Order.
All interested parties are encouraged to attend one of the meetings held in each Game and Fish region discussing these proposals. The meetings will be held at the following locations:
March 24 - Pinedale Pinedale G&F Regional Office - 10 a.m.
March 26 - Jackson Jackson G&F Regional Office - 7 p.m.
March 27 - Worland Washakie County Fairgrounds - 7 p.m.
March 28 - Sheridan Sheridan College-Whitney Bldg. CTEL Rm. - 7 p.m.
March 28 - Laramie Albany County Fairgrounds-Cafeteria Rm. - 6 p.m.
March 28 - Riverton Riverton Fire Academy-Cap Lee Rm. - 6 p.m.
March 29 - Casper Casper G&F Regional Office - 7 p.m.
March 29 - Green River Green River Regional Office - 7 p.m.
Each region will also host local meetings and open houses, which will be held prior to these meetings. Check with local Game and Fish offices for locations and times.
Written comments will be accepted at all of the above public meetings. In addition, comments on proposed seasons will be accepted through 5 p.m. April 2, by mailing WGFD, Attn: Regulations, 3030 Energy Lane, Casper, WY 82604. Copies of the proposed regulations are available by contacting the same address.
All comments will be presented to the Wyoming Game and Fish Commission prior to their April 25-26 meeting in Casper.
