CHEYENNE - Nonresidents are reminded that only a week remains to apply for elk licenses. The application deadline is Jan. 31. Applications must be received in the Cheyenne office by 5 p.m. on that date to be included in the drawing.
The 5 p.m. deadline applies to both online and paper applications. While hunters are encouraged to apply online because the online process ensures accuracy and that the application is received on time, hunters are advised that at 5 p.m. on the deadline date the application field for nonresident elk on the website is deactivated and the system will not take applications after that time.
Hunters can find application information or apply online through the Game and Fish website.Hunters with questions on hunt areas or the application process can call (307) 777-4600.
