2014 TENTATIVE ELK SEASON DATES

Season Dates and Limitations - Preliminary opening dates and limitations are subject to change. Opening dates, closing dates and limitations for big game hunting seasons are established each year in late April or early May. The Wyoming Game and Fish Commission may not issue licenses for specific hunt areas and types based on wildlife management. Applicants who select hunt areas or types for which licenses are not authorized will have their license fee, but not their application fee, refunded.

Combined Hunt Areas - To apply for a limited quota license that is valid in combined hunt areas (several hunt areas listed): select the first hunt area listed in the combination of hunt areas for which the license is valid from the drop down box and then select the specific type you are applying for. Example: For a license that is listed as area 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 Type 3, regardless of what specific hunt area you wanted to hunt, you would select 10 in the hunt area and 3 in the type box. The license will be issued as 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 type 3 and you can hunt in any of these areas. To participate in the drawing for this combination, you must list ONLY the first hunt area.

Special Archery Seasons - Information regarding special archery season dates will be available after the April 22-23, 2014 WGF Commission meeting. Until this time, please refer to the previous year’s regulation (2013) season dates for tentative information.
